Hi friends!!
This week, beyond your fun dance challenge, fitness challenges, and volleyball practice, I want you to reflect on shining your light wherever you are. What does that even mean??
Philippians 2:14-16 teaches that even though we live in a “crooked generation” we can shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life. When God’s Word is circulating through us, we radiate His Light.
God’s Word tells us to “cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.” (Romans 13:12). Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others.” (Matthew 5:16). No one lights a lamp to hide it under a basket!! And when Jesus said, “Let your lights shine before others SO THAT they they may are your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
Our goal should be to bring glory to God, not ourselves!
So, let’s apply that this week at home as you dance and learn and play and help your parents around the house. Do it all for His Glory, and Shine on!!!
This week:
1. work on the dance challenge and make it a family challenge (if there are willing participants). Your parent can post your dance on the BCA FB page if you want or just send to me. I would love to see.
2. continue to work on your 1 minute fitness challenges. There are 3 new ones that I added to the Fitness Log on the Resource Page. Record your progress and see if you can beat your score from last week.
3. Practice volleying with a beach ball. You can practice with a partner to get warmed up and then play a game with the whole family. There is a demo video of this on the Video Page.
Have fun and Shine on!!!
